I think it's been 25+ years since he's has a song in moderate to heavy rotation on any rock station. As a musician, I've always thought he sucked. He is definitely not a musician listened to by other musicians.
Example: Running on Empty is basically one chord. Find the tonic and just drone that note over and over; that's it. What saves the song is the beautiful slide work by David Lindley, underrated guitarist extraordinaire.
Clearly he needs the dough.
He probably he has a good case, though. Using his voice embedded in the ad in a huge no no.

Who? oh...that guy. I THINK he still gets a couple of these played on a station in Colorado. Whens the last time he beat up on his old lady?

By the way, I Agree totally on your take on David Lindley. His guitar MADE Jackson's music.

Ummmm... any chance you guys could stick to the story at hand -- which doesn't concern JB's career (or lack there-of) and does concern John McC's campaign -- which has been running on empty since forever shooting itself in the foot yet another time with an attack ad.

I agree with Gnostix1... Who cares about his career. I think it is awesome he is doing this. And it has nothing to do with money...
